Death Of A Salesman

Why see Death Of A Salesman?

The Undisputed Classic

Arthur Miller's timeless, Pulitzer Prize-winning powerhouse drama comes to the Stratford Festival in an all-new staging for 2026. Examining the flawed promise of the American Dream through the personal struggles of failed salesman Willy Loman, Death Of A Salesman is one of the all-time great works of American theater.

What Is The Story?

Willy Loman thought he had done everything right: got married, went into business, had two kids... Now he's arrived home in the middle of the night after another failed business trip, exhausted, his self-esteem hanging by a thread. His sons aren't doing too much better - both are back living with their parents, struggling to get something going. As Willy's situation continues to spiral, his past starts to replay itself in front of his eyes - and the mistakes and regrets are piling up. The American Dream wasn't supposed to be like this.
